Member Jane G. presented a three-hour “Tiny Piecing” workshop at the Oxford Community Center on Saturday, November 4.
If this quilt looks familiar, you probably saw it at QuiltCon 2023 in Atlanta. We’re all thrilled to see Jane’s tiny-pieced, and matchstick-quilted quilt hanging in the improv category.

In the photo below, Jane’s ten students appear to be “strutting their stuff,” but in fact they’re showing off how much progress they made piecing their tiny scraps. One of them even worked brown fabric into her block! Wow!
(If you don’t recognize faces and names, don’t forget… members can access the “Members Only” section of this website, enter the password, and look at the member directory where info and a photo appear.)

Looking good! We hope to see some great finishes at Show and Tell on January 13.

Remember: There’s NO regular Show and Tell at our November 11 meeting because we’ll have our “Choose Your Own Challenge” reveal. Also Program Chair Jane and President Karen will share the 2024 line-up of programs, and workshops (in-person and virtual) that have been scheduled. Virtual workshops were based on your survey input. You don’t want to miss the November 11 meeting!
When you attend the November 11 meeting, don’t forget to bring DUES for 2024. Your $40 check gives you a whole year of great CFMQG programs and workshops, as well as access to MQG resources. Our Executive Committee looked hard at our budget and decided NOT to raise 2024 dues, even though The Modern Quilt Guild is increasing our chapter dues to their organization.
Don’t miss out on the fun that’s ahead!
