Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild held their Holiday Social on Saturday, December 10th with 29 members in attendance. There was much wearing of red and green and smiles galore as folks gathered to socialize, enjoy tapas and see what is trending in the gift exchange department.
There were books, sewing notions and misting bottles. There were handcrafted items, Best Press and rulers. There was some oohs and aahs and lots of laughter!
A couple of reminders, 2023 DUES are DUE! If you have not paid, you must get your check to Karen as soon as possible. Email Karen for specific details if needed.
The January Challenge Reveal is fast approaching. Reminder this challenge only requires you to explore the MQG website, tell Karen what your inspiration is and make a quilt any size! Tell us what you learned by showing us what you created. We will be sharing our stories and quilts on January 14, 2023.
Baby quilts are being collected at the January meeting as well. If you don’t have a Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild label for your quilt – be prepared to do some hand stitching of labels during the meeting. We are going to add labels to those quilts that need them. (Put your hand sewing tools and name badge in your bag so you are ready to go in January.)
