Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild has their Holiday Social planned for Saturday, December 10th at 10 AM at New Life Christian Church. There will be no Show and Tell, no Educational Program BUT there will be FOOD, FUN, FOLKS of Good Cheer and FESTIVITIES! Wear your name tag!
Things to bring:
1) A snack for about 6 people to share. You must bring any serving utensils needed. If you are bringing anything in a crockpot, please bring an extension cord as outlets are limited.
2) Your own beverage in your own container. We will not have access to the kitchen and will not be providing any drinks. If anyone wants to bring a jug of juice, lemonade, or such as your snack contribution, please let Karen know. Cups would then be provided.
3) A wrapped and unmarked quilt-related gift for the exchange. This should be something that costs you about $12-$15, and it can be handmade. Note: This is optional, but our gift exchange game is alot of fun to be able to participate in!
Note: Plates, silverware, and napkins will be provided.
A reminder that DUES for 2023 are being collected and you can bring your check payable to CFMQG for $40 to the Holiday Social. If you plan on mailing your check, please email Karen as soon as possible.
The January meeting is around the corner and the Challenge Reveal will take place during the meeting. Baby quilts are being collected at the January meeting as well.
In grand news and a huge round of applause, we have learned that two of our members have received notice their quilts will hang in Atlanta for Quilt Con 2023. Congratulations to Linda @flourishingpalms and Jane @gonequiltinginflorida !!
