Our Next Meeting is July 9

It’s just a week away, our next meeting! We have lots on the horizon and some things have deadlines!

Workshop sign-ups for Inspired by Architecture, with David Owens Hasting from noon to 6 PM on Saturday, August 27. Only three spots remain! And don’t forget – if you have a friend who currently not a member of CFMQG, this one is available to them – email Karen. No Fail Inset Circles with Beth @blue_dragonfly5 from 9 AM to noon on Saturday, September 24. Cost to members for this in-person workshop is $20 and is limited to 10 participants! Retreat Registration Begins for the fall Retreat at Luther Springs Retreat Center on September 9 through September 12. Printable forms for the Retreat and Emergency Contact

There will be Show and Tell at the meeting – please complete the Show and Tell form. In addition to the regular Show and Tell, ALL members are asked to bring IMPROV projects – in progress or completed as our educational topic will be IMPROV. It will not be necessary to complete the Show and Tell form – BUT, be prepared to talk about them! In addition to IMPROV items that members are asked to bring, those members that attended the Giant Nested Circle Workshop with Daisy @warmfolk on Saturday, June 25, please bring what you have completed – or not completed. Other members will appreciate having an opportunity to ooh and ahh as well as ask questions about the workshop, the format and see what you are up to!

During this meeting we will determine which pattern we wish to use and how we hope to move forward with the Quilt Con Community Challenge. Don’t forget the color palette will also be selected! We are still looking for someone or a team of someone’s to take the lead on coordinating the effort behind the Community Challenge Quilt. This does not mean you will be doing it – just providing leadership on keeping things moving and on time.

There is a scheduled sew-in for Saturday, July 16th from 9 to 3 PM. This takes place at the Oxford Community Center and is a perfect opportunity to sew, stitch, socialize and maybe seam-rip together! Join us for all or part of the day!
