Chip and Charm Challenge revealed! Show and Tells shared! And the 2022 calendar revealed! Everything was revealed at the monthly meeting for CFMQG, well almost everything.

And CFMQG welcomed four new members: Donna, Pat, Karen and Judy! Membership dues were collected for 2022 for those in attendance. If you were unable to make it to the meeting, you can still pay at the December Christmas party OR mail a check to CFMQG for $ 40 to:

In addition to all the Chip and Charm Challenge quilts we had several quilts for show and tell.
Ardie @fatquarteraddict shared her WONKY BLOCK which is basically a sampler quilt for Ardie of the various quilting patterns she can use on her Handiquilter. The quilt block was designed by Linda Leathersich and Stephanie Sheridan of Stitched Together Studios and the quilt measures 48 by 68

Gwen @flaquiltz shared her Pointed Comments by Tammy Silvers table runner from a class she took from Ms. Silvers. The result was her 20 by 40 GET THE POINT? made with charcoal grunge, Alison Glass fabrics along with the blue from Christina Cameli. Gwen quilted this on her Bernina 750.

Mike @michaelyn@nicholls participated in the same workshop with Tammy Silvers and also used the Pointed Comments pattern. POINTED COMMENTS was quilted on Mike’s Janome 8900 and measures 20 by 40.

Bonnie used the Wonder Curve Ruler to create STARRY NIGHT, a pattern by Sew Kind of Wonderful, measuring 75 by 78. Bonnie quilted it on her Janome QMP 18.

Karen @yorkie3mom used circle rulers to quilt her SNOWFLAKES AND SNOWBALLS quilt based on the Knitted Star pattern by Lo and Behold Stitchery. It measures 62 by 62 and was quilted by Karen on her Janome 9400. Fabrics were from Painter’s Palette and Manchester Metallic by Robert Kaufman

Pat shared A WALK AROUND THE BLOCKS measuring 70 by 84. This quilt was an original design based on a Moda Challenge quilted on her Handiquilter Avante. There are over 40 different stitching designs in the quilting, creating a stitching sampler.

Linda @flourishingpalms shared her COLUMNS measuring about 49.5 by 55, her own design as part of the Quilt Con 2022 Artisan Cotton Fabrics Challenge – Windham Fabrics. Quilted on her Bernina 770 QE and big stitch hand quilted.

PLAYIN’ AROUND by Linda @flourishingpalms is an original design and quilted on her Bernina 770QE. Linda made this as part of challenge for South Florida MGQ “Curve Around Challenge” and it measures 61 by 70. She used a Classic Curves Ruler, making set in circles and added small, appliqued cirlces made with Applipops. Both PLAYIN’ AROUND and COLUMNS have been submitted to Quilt Con 2022. Emails regarding acceptance or rejection will be sent December 15.
