If you’ve collected a pile of chip packs – 2½” square pre-cuts often given away by vendors at QuiltCon – and/or a pile of charm packs – 5″ X 5″ pre-cuts – it’s time to put your creative thinking cap on to make a quilt with them!

Our challenge coordinator, Beth, has come up with a great challenge idea, introduced at our April 17 meeting. Here are the details:
- Use as many chips and charms as needed for your design.
- Make any size quilt, 15” square or larger. Consider making a mini for this project (optional)
- Design block size can be no larger than 5” square (unfinished) or charm size.
- Background or negative space can be no more than 50% of the quilt size. Consider keeping the background limited to 5” blocks (optional)
- Finished project is due at the November 2021 meeting.

If you find yourself in the (unimaginable!) position of not having these pre-cuts, or you need more 2½” squares and 5″ squares, feel free to cut into your stash as needed.
You’ve got plenty of time to make a quilt, so we hope you’ll join in!
Share your progress as you go. We love to see what you’re making! (You’ll always get a “like” from us!)
