March 8 Zoom meeting

A few more than a dozen members joined our Zoom meeting last Monday evening.

Election of Executive Committee Members

Business conversation was about the election of 2021-2022 executive committee members who will commence their roles on April 1. All members should have received a link to Survey Monkey to vote for executive committee positions. Voting closes at midnight Sunday, March 14.

Future Meetings

We discussed future meeting possibilities. With our April meeting being outdoors – Saturday, April 17 from 10 am to noon at Lake Miona Park – and with more members receiving COVID-10 vaccinations, attendees agreed that future meetings (May, June, and so on) will continue to meet at Lake Miona Park. When North Lake Presbyterian Church becomes available again we’ll let everyone know of our venue change.

Mark your calendars for the second Saturday of the month, beginning in May: 10 am to noon. Information is also up-to-date on our Google calendar.

Last ZOOM Sew-In

Saturday, March 27 from 1 to 3 pm is our last scheduled Zoom get-together, and it will be for a fun two hours of sewing and chatting. The Zoom link will be emailed to members, and everyone is encouraged to attend – show us what you’re working on, catch up with other members’ doin’s, and celebrate our last virtual get-together.

Our meeting concluded with a virtual Show and Tell. Click on the picture below to view them. These photos and quilt descriptions also appear on our CentralFloridaMQG Instagram account.

Pictures of the last sets of BOM (block-of-the-month) blocks were shown at the meeting. Click on the picture below to view them.

Everyone who participated is asked to complete their quilts by Saturday, May 8 and bring them to the meeting for Show and Tell.

Members are reminded that our Saturday, April 17 meeting is when we’ll Show and Tell our completed 2020 and 2021 CFMQG Challenge quilts. Click the links to read more about each challenge.
