November Meeting and Future Plans

At our November 9 Zoom meeting, after discussion, several decisions were made.

First, members agreed 100 percent to apply their 2020 membership dues to 2021 dues. We will use treasury funds to pay our 2021 membership fees to the national MQG.

Second, decisions were made about our future activities.

December – Our annual holiday social will be outdoors at Lake Miona Park, 10501 County Rd 115, The Villages.

We will meet Saturday, December 12 at 1 pm, following pandemic protocols that include social distancing and mask-wearing. Bring a chair, drink and snacks, if desired.

At that time we will also have our annual holiday gift swap. If you wish to participate, wrap a new gift – worth up to $15 – and indicate whether you’d like to participate in a once-only swap, or a Chinese swap – where you can “steal” or your gift can be “stolen.”

January – on Saturday, January 9, we will meet in person at The Village Art Center for a general meeting followed by sewing time.

The Village Art Center
Spruce Creek Professional Center
10935 SE 177th Place – Suite 406-407
Summerfield, FL 34491

The meeting will begin at 10 am followed by sewing until 1 pm. Distancing and masks are required.

Members and guests must R.S.V.P. to CentralFloridaMQG@gmail.com and indicate if they will attend the meeting only, sewing only (one person/one machine per table), or both.

February – Our regular meeting/sewing time will be at The Village Art Center on Saturday, February 13, 10 am to 1 pm with R.S.V.P. required.

March – Our hope is to resume regular meetings at North Lake Presbyterian Church. Meeting dates are yet to be determined.

We concluded our Zoom meeting by enjoying Show and Tell from three members, Click to watch the slide show, and a review of member’s BOM blocks which can also be seen on Instagram #cfmqgbom
