2025-2026 Chapter Leaders

Our fiscal year is from March 31 to March 31.

Executive Committee positions as defined by our Bylaws (Article 8, Section 1) are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Program Coordinator, Workshop Coordinator, Media Coordinator, and Immediate Past President.

Co-Presidents (L) Lynette K. (R) Betty S.
Responsible for leading monthly meetings, participating in Executive Committee meetings, and generally overseeing chapter activities.

Vice President Linda
Responsible for conducting meeting in the absence of the president, serving an ex officio member of the program committee, and overseeing review and changes to bylaws. Creates and sends newsletters and other needed Mailchimp communications.

Co-Secretaries – (L) Anne G. and (R) Dee A.
Attends Executive Committee meetings to take notes of discussions and decisions, and provide meeting documentation; handles correspondence; and maintains documentation of sign-in sheets, Agendas, minutes, etc.

Treasurer Sandi
Receives and banks all Guild monies; maintains bookkeeping records of all funds; disburses funds as authorized; with the President, serves as signer on checks of the Guild; provides a quarterly financial statement to the Executive Committee; within 60 days of the close of the fiscal year, provides financial records for auditing to a committee consisting of one Executive Committee Member, and two or more Members appointed by the
Executive Committee, and provides a complete financial report, to be presented to the Membership in January.

Program Coordinator Mel T.
Actively recruit member or guest speakers and teachers for special Guild programs with a focus on modern quilting; work with Media Coordinator to communicate program information for members through email, blog posts, Facebook, and/or other social media formats; communicate regularly with Executive Committee about upcoming speakers and status of planned speakers; attend Executive Committee meetings as needed to make proposals to Executive Committee on programs. Actively work on future months’ programs; attend monthly guild meetings; and support the planning, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of The Guild’s public programs and educational initiatives.

Workshop Coordinator Jane G.
Actively recruit member or guest teachers for special Guild workshops with a focus on modern quilting; work with Media Coordinator to communicate workshop information for members through email, blog posts, Facebook, and/or other social media formats; communicate regularly with Executive Committee about upcoming workshops; attend Executive Committee meetings as needed to make proposals to Executive Committee on workshops. Media Coordinator Courtney
Takes notes and photos at monthly meetings that are posted to The Guild website; posts announcements, guild business, presentations, show and tell, etc.; provides technology support to the Executive Committee, and Standing and Ad Hoc Committees during special activities and events; maintain The Guild’s social media accounts; attends monthly guild meetings, sew days, Executive Committee meetings, and guild programs.

Central Florida MQG Standing Committees

QuiltCon Community Outreach Quilt Chair and Co-Chair are responsible for working with Executive Committee to follow MQG Community Outreach Quilt guidelines to organize, and engage members to assemble the annual QuiltCon Community Outreach Charity quilt. Chair/Co-Chair are responsible for completing QuiltCon entry forms and submitting the quilt. 

Programs Individuals work as a team with Program Coordinator Mel T,, to plan educational meeting programs. Program planning for the following year should be completed by October 1 of the year before.

Workshops Individuals work as a team with Workshop Coordinator Jane G., to plan educational workshops. Workshop planning for the following year should be completed by October 1 of the year before.

Membership Attend meetings to register member sign-ins, obtain new member information. and welcome visitors. Maintain up-to-date information about paid members, and ensure that information is on our Central Florida MQG Google Drive.

Library Store and bring to meetings our library of modern books, rotary cutting rulers, and ruler work quilting rulers, and maintain a check-out and return system. Ensure our library listings are up-to-date on our Central Florida MQG Google Drive.

Meeting Coordinator Create a list of volunteer meeting helpers and ensure two helpers attend each meeting. Helpers should arrive 45 minutes before meeting begins to assist with set-up and post-meeting return to normal. 

Challenge Coordinator Work with leadership to engage members in fun and educational challenge(s) at least once a year, including ensuring that: 1) challenge information is distributed to CFMQG members and Media Coordinator(s); 2) challenge materials are provided; and 3) prize categories and prizes are determined.

Retreat Coordinators Check-in and Check-out retreat attendees, and generally oversee the event.

Sew-In Coordinators Arrange monthly sew days and times, and determine activities, if desired.
